Math Investigation

This week we were looking at tables and graphs. We wanted to know if we completed 5 sprints if our time would get faster or slower. Some of us hypothesized that we would get faster, some guessed that we would get slower because we would get tired.

It was unanimous, we all got slower! Five sprints in a row is tiring!

Learning goals

At the beginning of this term we thought about goals we wanted to achieve this term. Here are some of the things we came up with.

Measurement

This week we are working on measurement, area and perimeter. We identified things we wanted to measure then went out in groups to measure them. We still have some work to do to correctly read length but will continue to work on this tomorrow.

Room 2's Term 3 Cook Off!

We had to plan, budget, follow instructions and cook a feast! Each group had to provide and edible item, and made enough for everyone in the class to have 1 thing each. We ended up sampling Hamburgers, Pizza, Cupcakes, Ice-cream cookies, Baked stuffed apple crumble and delicious milkshakes! By the end of the day our puku's were very full!
