Matariki Myths
For the last 2 weeks we have been learning about Matariki. Some of us decided to retell a myth using wevideo. We watched other videos to get some tips on how to be a good narrator then we found pictures online and recorded our voice over. Some of us used special effects and some of us played audio tracks in the background.
Bonjour, my name is Amie I am a student in Te Waka Ako at Waikowhai Primary School. I really like how you used wevideo to retell the myth. It made me think of when Te Waka Ako learned about Matariki and the myths ordering what the story has said. Have you thought about adding some facts about Matariki? If you would like to see my learning, my blog is http://wpsamiem.blogspot.co.nz/. Amazing!

ReplyDeleteHi there, my name is Faidhi from Te Waka Ako. I really like the videos about the myths about matariki, were awesome. It made me think about this video I watched in my chromebook, it was about 7 sisters who invaded a land, then they met men and the men really liked them. Then like about a long time, the girls weakened the men. After that, a men threw the sisters to the sky and they were matariki. Check out my blog, the link is here.

Good Afternoon Tania,
DeleteIt's great to see you back again checking out our class blog. There are a lot of Matariki myths but everyone wanted to be creative and make up there own and present it in a very creative way. We used "Wevideo" a video editing site that you can use to edit and create videos. We definitely enjoyed making these videos and sharing them with you all... Maybe you should try out Wevideo it is a great way to present your ideas especially when talking about myths and legends... and no, we did not write down a script we wrote it along the way while creating our videos... We enjoy replying to your wonderful comments and we wish to do it all over again...
Until your next comment...

ReplyDeleteHi my name is Hurileigh, and I go to Tautoro School.
ReplyDeleteI like how you presented your work. And how you put the effects in and the photos of some gods. I like the last one because you can hear you perfectly.
You need to work on speaking louder in the 2 top videos so we can hear you properly.
I really do like your presentation you just need to speak a little bit louder.
What is your favourite god?
My god is Ruaumoko because he is the god of Volcanoes.
Go on my blog if you want to comment on any of my learning.
